Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Reliant Engineering Consulting ("we", "us") collects through this website, why, and how long we keep it. We collect the minimum necessary to respond to enquiries and operate the site.

What we collect

• Contact form submissions: name, email address, organisation (optional) and your message, only when you submit the form on the Contact page.
• Technical data: basic, privacy-respecting site-usage statistics if analytics is enabled (see the Cookie Policy) — no cross-site tracking or ad identifiers are used.

We do not collect financial details, government ID numbers, or special-category data via this site.

Why we process it

Contact form data is processed on the basis of your consent (the checkbox on the form) and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries. It is used solely to reply to you and, if an engagement follows, for that engagement's administration.

Who processes it

Form submissions are handled by our hosting provider's form service (Netlify Forms) and delivered to Gideon Rossouw's email inbox. No submission data is sold, shared with advertisers, or used for marketing without your separate, explicit consent.

How long we keep it

Enquiry data is kept for as long as needed to respond and, where an engagement follows, for the duration of that engagement plus any period required by applicable tax/contract law. Unconverted enquiries are deleted after 24 months.

Your rights

Under GDPR and equivalent data protection law you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, and may withdraw consent at any time. Contact enquiries@reliantengineeringconsulting.com to exercise these rights.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS with HSTS enabled. We do not store submitted data in any database operated by us — it passes through our hosting provider's form service directly to email.

Changes to this policy

We will update the "last updated" date above if this policy changes materially.
